First plans for a General Meeting |

The Reiki-book 'Reiki - the science, metaphysics
and philosophy' by John and Esther Veltheim is released.
It forms a cornerstone of The Reiki Network and is part of the Teachers
Manual.
The Teachers Manual is distributed for the first time. It ensures
the "like manner" and the definition of "the standards"
to which The Reiki Network teaches.The meeting originally planned
for Auckland is held in Norwich in October 1996. |

The Norwich (UK) General Meeting in October 1996: The
founders hand over the entire responsibility to the members. A committee
of 7 is elected and the Teachers Manual becomes compulsory for all
members and a working group is appointed to revise it. |
| 1998 |
The Luzern (Switzerland) General Meeting in September
1998 passes the Teachers Manual revision. |
| 2000 |
The Penang (Malaysia) General Meeting in October 2000
reaffirms the tradition. |
| 2002 |
The Malta General Meeting in October 2002 passes the
constitution. |
| 2004 |
The General Meeting in October in Malmö / Sweden re-affirms
the Network practice and endorses the Netsite. |
| 2006 |
In October 2006 the General Meeting took place in Rome with 45%
of the worldwide members present. |
| 2008 |
The General Meeting takes place in Strasbourg (France) and finds
a way to honour the traditional fee for Reiki Master training and
allowing the fee to increase with the cost of living. |
